The place we call home Fund
On September 11, 2013 the rain began to soak the ground all over Colorado. Many of us didn't think that evacuations would begin to take place or many homes would be lost or damaged. Over the next 72 hours our perceptions of the storm would change. People became stranded due to road collapse, thousands had their personal belongings destroyed and many are now scrambling to find a place to call home.
The "Take me Back HOME" fund would like to focus on delivering packages to families that were affected by the flood and now trying to build up their communities again. I would like to deliver prepared meals and a little welcome home basket to as many people as I can. Before and after the flood, we watched out for each other. Neighbors walked around at the peak of the storms to make sure we were safe. Now many have been displaced. We are thankful to have great friends that have given us a place to sleep and others that have made a meal for us. Some haven't been as fortunate. We are all trying to get back into out routines again and rebuild homes and lives. For those who are displaced and struggling, any help can mean the world and give them the strength and determination to build themselves up out of the wreckage.

Any amount donated will be greatly appreciated. For every $10 donation, I created a reusable sandwich bag that I will send you out to you. I will keep everyone posted on how the fund is going, with our packages we'll be creating, and any upcoming events on the blog. Please email me if you have any questions, donations or know anyone that has been affected by the flood and could use some help. Thank you very much for your support and feel free to share with your friends!!
